Kozhikode: Respite for Harshina comes in the form of a police report that proves the involvement of two doctors and two nurses in the case where a pair of forceps were left in her abdomen from a C-section operation. He clarified that the serious error occurred during Harshina’s third delivery at the Mother and Child Care Hospital in Kozhikode.
The report received by the district health administration contains details of this medical error. The investigation was carried out by the Ministry of the Interior. Harshina underwent three C-section deliveries in total, the first two of which were at Thamarassery taluk hospital.
The third surgery took place on November 30, 2017 at the Kozhikode Medical Faculty Hospital. Following this, she began to have health problems. She had to suffer for five years with forceps in her abdomen. For action and decisions, the investigation report was submitted to the special commission of the health department.
