For the third consecutive year, Dish Network is looking for someone to numb their butts and increase their heart rate for the sake of science and $1,300. They are looking for someone to take charge Stephen King Scream Job, tackling 13 of God’s horror movies and alive to tell the tale.

And, unlike most job postings these days, this one lists the rate of pay. Of their announcement:

“Movie buff? Scared cat? Adrenaline junkie? All of the above? might even share their fears on social media and vlog every time they jump out of their seat… We also want to hear all about your experience. You’ll be tracking your heart rate and jumping fears. You’ll let us know who has joined in the scares with you. You’ll tell us what you thought about them before watching certain movies and if your feelings changed after you finished them. You’ll even record your sleep, if you can sleep.

So it’s part movie marathon, part social media column with a small dose of medical monitoring for good measure. Not a bad concert.

Whoever gets the job will look Carrie, Christine, Creepshow, Cujo, Doctor Sleep, Firestarter, It (the two parts), Misery, Haze, Pet Sematary, Salem’s Lot, and the brilliant. If you want to earn money to do something you already planned to do, submit your application by September 16.
