A few days ago, in the Chinese province of Sichuan, bad weather caused a landslide on a mountainside road. Fortunately, a driver caught in the middle of it barely managed to avoid disaster. The video above looks like a scene from an action movie! Of AccuWeather:

So far this summer, temperatures in northern China have been extraordinarily hot and southern regions of the country have experienced unusually humid conditions. Rainstorms often precede landslides because the precipitation allows mud and water to carry rocks and small pieces of debris downward. As the debris accelerates on its way down the mountain, a landslide can gain enough force and mass to be dangerous to property and potentially even fatal.
