Avatar 2 star Kate Winslet has shut down rumors of a sequel Christmas classic Vacations.
Reports first emerged this week after it was claimed the original quartet Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, Jude Law and Jack Black have all signed on for a sequel.
However, it unfortunately appears that the reports were false.
Winslet has broken her silence on the rumors and broken the hearts of rom-com lovers everywhere in the process.

The actress, who recently starred in Easttown Mare Told people magazine: “I’ve read about it, but this is the first time I’ve heard of it.
“I promise you no agent or representative or anyone from the first had a conversation with me about this. Hand on heart, it never came.”
Meanwhile, writer and director Nancy Myers shared a similar sentiment on Instagram.
She wrote: “So many DMs about this – sorry but that’s not true.”
Earlier this week, fans were thrilled to learn that the film was finally getting a follow-up and that all of the original cast had signed up to appear. After grossing $205.8m (£168m) at the box office, it has since become a Christmas classic.

Although the rumors are false, Winslet confessed that she would likely be on board if one was ever scheduled.
“It would be so fun to see Miles and Iris get back together. I imagine how cute their kids would be? Little Jack Blacks running around.”
