Lupita Nyong’o, who appears in the Marvel film, was also present, as were co-stars Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright and Michaela Coel. Former England footballer Alex Scott was also present at the event.
Love Island’s new host Jama and rapper Stormzy, who were in a relationship, reportedly arrived within minutes of each other and walked the carpet individually.
Ms. Jama wore a red dress and a large necklace while Stormzy wore a hot pink suit, t-shirt and pants. Model Jourdan Dunn, meanwhile, wore a long yellow dress.
Nyong’o, Gurira, Wright and Coel all wore silver and black.
The 2018 original Black Panther, directed by Ryan Coogler, became the first superhero film to receive an Oscar Best Picture nomination.
Noted as the first superhero films to use a predominantly black cast, Black Panther was one of the last films to star Chadwick Boseman – who died of cancer in 2020.

Marvel opted not to recast his role as T’Challa for the sequel. The character would be dead off screen and the plot picks up with the kingdom of Wakanda facing a new type of threat.
Wright will play a larger role in the sequel than in the original as Shuri, Princess of Wakanda.
The film will be released in UK cinemas from November 11.
