the Fast and furious movies know how to bring someone back from the grave, and it looks like they’re doing it all over again like The Direct released the story of Gal Gadot’s comeback for x fastthe tenth installment in the long-running franchise.

Gadot’s last appearance as Gisele Yashar was in Fast & Furious 6 in 2013. In the film, Gisele seemingly sacrifices herself to save Han by jumping out of a plane. It was a relatively dramatic and shocking scene, which sent Han down a path that would also lead to his supposed death.

Sung Kang’s Han would return in 2021 F9 and introduce a new storyline by taking on Jason Statham’s Deckard Shaw. If that sounds like a soap opera, that’s what fast furious movies have become.

For Gal Gadot, the past few weeks have been a journey. DC’s hierarchy changed when James Gunn and Peter Safran took over, and a lot changed for DC Studios.

One of the most important changes is Patty Jenkins loses chance for third wonder woman moviewhile cameos by Gadot and Henry Cavill would have cut from the next Glow movie. Gadot will probably need it x fast win to make a solid comeback, like Cavill did with his war hammer project.

The production of x fast has also been a path strewn with pitfalls. With a mid-production director reshufflethe usual Vin Diesel-related drama, and the the budget would have reached insane heights, it feels like the movie has to pull out all the stops. With a great cast (all would have been incredibly well paid), part one of the epic two-part finale for the Fast and furious saga will be a true star-studded event.

x fast features a cast that includes Vin Diesel, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, John Cena, Jason Momoa, Brie Larson, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, Gal Gadot, Scott Eastwood, Michael Rooker, Daniela Melchior, Alan Ritchson, Cardi B, Helen Mirren, Rita Moreno and Charlize Theron.

Fast X is set to hit theaters in May 2023.
