Like Google earlier this year, Samsung is teaming up with the good folks at iFixit to launch a brand new self-repair program designed for select Galaxy devices. For starters, Samsung is only opening the program for the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S21 lines, as well as the Galaxy Tab S7+. There should be millions of devices here, so this is a great start.

As for the types of repairs you can do, owners will be able to carry out battery replacements, screen and display replacements, and USB charging port replacements.

Kit prices vary, so it all depends on what kind of repair you need. Most importantly, every tool you’ll need to get the job done comes with kits distributed by iFixit. As a user of their kits, I can tell you firsthand that these are quality instruments.

Rocked this Galaxy S20 with a broken screen in the last year or so? It’s time to fix this thing.
