Support must be provided on time, and in the case of Google’s 2022 line of hardware, we think the support was well-deserved. Google released a family of devices this year that look fantastic, which can’t be the easiest thing to do when you have different teams working on different things. However, in the end, we have products that complement each other perfectly.

Of course, we are talking about Pixel 7 (review), Pixel 7 Pro (review), Pixel Watch (review) and Pixel Buds Pro (review). After examining all these devices, the hardware of each one was positive. Google has nailed down the color options, sizing, fit, and just about everything else you can think of when it comes to hardware. Looking at the photo above, this is a great family.

We pay attention to this achievement because, as I said, having a whole line of beautiful devices seems almost a rare achievement. However, Samsung is pretty good when you make so many products, there’s bound to be one that doesn’t quite fit. The company’s Galaxy Buds Live quickly come to mind, plus for me personally, some of the earlier Galaxy Watch models weren’t as pleasing to the eye. However, the latest line of Galaxy S22, Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Buds are solid. It’s the same with Google: some years don’t always have the most attractive lineups. However, in 2022 they added the Pixel Watch and it really adds to a proposal that fits together so well.

If we go beyond skin deep, devices in fact also good. It’s not just pretty faces. The Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are our top picks for Phone of the Year, the Pixel Watch is my favorite tech in 2022, and the Pixel Buds Pro really sound good and fit perfectly. This year, Google has been at full blast, and as I said, you have to give it credit.

We’ve had years of various issues with Google devices, most of which are detailed by great people on Reddit, Twitter, and in our comment section. Aside from the volume button issue, which only seems to affect a handful of Pixel 7 devices, the Pixel 7, Pixel Watch, and Pixel Buds Pro phones have had few common hardware/software issues, which is exactly what Google wants. to ensure that no more customers switch to Samsung. If Google can keep that quality, then it’s really impossible to say it’s possible to move forward.
