Ahead of the start of Galaxy Unpacked 2023 on July 26, which will take place for the first time in Seoul, Korea, Samsung Electronics is releasing its Digital Outdoor (OOH) Join the Downside Ads one by one in landmarks around the world. Samsung Newsroom previews two teaser videos ahead of the event: Join the flip side and The Journey of Galaxy Unpacked.
Join the flip side takes over the world
The OOH digital ads showcase the overall theme of the products that will be unveiled at Galaxy Unpacked this year, while also inviting customers to experience the flip side for themselves. Seventeen digital OOH advertisements are currently displayed in various locations in 13 countries: including Gangnam District, Seoul Tower and COEX in Seoul, Korea; Times Square in New York, United States; Piccadilly Circus in London, UK; CentralWorld in Bangkok, Thailand; Tai Koo Li in Chengdu, China; and King Road Tower in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.4
As this year’s Galaxy Unpacked will be held in Seoul, the sketch video released on July 22 captures the bustling atmosphere of the bustling Gangnam area, COEX as well as Seoul Tower, one of Seoul’s most notable landmarks. Additionally, the video depicts the mood of several different world landmarks, highlighting the unique characteristics of each location.
Galaxy’s journey unpacked
Galaxy Unpacked debuted in Las Vegas when Samsung attended CTIA Wireless 2010, North America’s largest communications conference. At the event, the company presented its vision for the future of the mobile phone industry and unveiled the Samsung Galaxy S, marking the start of Samsung’s journey towards pioneering mobile innovation.
Following this event, Galaxy Unpacked traveled to several cities around the world: unveiling the Galaxy S2 in Barcelona, Spain, the Galaxy S3 in London, UK, introducing the Galaxy Note in Berlin, Germany, and innovating a new category of mobile devices with the Galaxy Fold in San Francisco, USA. Now, the next event will be held in Seoul, Korea.
