Until Exynos is fixed, Samsung is looking at Snapdragon

News is coming out of South Korea this week, detailing what, as of now, Samsung will only use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chips in its premium smartphones worldwide.

Why is it important? Well, for those of us who don’t live in the US, maybe the last Galaxy phone you bought is powered by Samsung’s Exynos processor. These processors had their own issues such as overheating and slow performance. To solve this problem, Samsung will simply switch to using Snapdragon chipsets until an Exynos chipset is available that is worthy of distribution in the premium smartphone line.

According to the source of this report, Samsung is taking its time to ensure Exynos runs smoothly on future devices. This may take some time as Samsung will have to hire techs and handle R&D, manufacturing, etc. With that said, Galaxy buyers around the world should expect Snapdragon to appear in their new Samsung phone for a while.

Speaking of premium Galaxy phones, the Galaxy S23 is only a few days away! Reserve your here and save some money.
