Latest Kerala Local News: Two journalists injured in an accident in Kalamassery – The Hin

Two journalists were seriously injured after their motorbike was run over by a private bus at TVS Junction, Kalamassery at around 11am on Tuesday.

The injured are Nithin Krishnan and S. Sudheesh Kumar, Kochi Unit Photographer and Deputy Editor respectively. Chandrika daily. They were returning after attending the funeral of a relative of their colleagues when they were victims of the accident.

They were waiting for the signal at the crossroads when the bus heading to Aluva from South Kalamassery overturned their motorbike. Mr Krishnan, who was thrown quite far in the impact of the collision, was left with serious injuries to his hip and spine. Mr. Kumar has a broken leg.

They were rushed to a nearby private hospital where they received first aid before being transferred to another hospital, where they remain in the intensive care unit. Both have to undergo surgery.

The police registered a complaint against the bus driver.
