This might be the first-ever recording of an octopus changing colors while it’s dreaming. 😱

Professor David Scheel of Alaska Pacific University observed and recorded the eight-limbed mollusk changing colors while in a research tank. In a clip released by “Nature on PBS”, Scheel says he’s never witnessed anything like this recorded before. “If she is dreaming, this is a dramatic moment,” Scheel says.

Need more evidence that octopuses are basically just aliens living on Earth? Along with changing their colors to communicate, some cephalopods can even change their RNA. Go to the link in our bio to read how. (From 2017)

  1. We should only love and respect the nature. There is more to life than we see. Understanding that an 🐙 may dream is just a small door to help us become more consciousness.

  2. These creatures are so amazing… us humans can learn so much from other species, I truly wished we lived in a world that had much more respect for all living animals. My haert feels for anyone living in a cage or tank or whatever limited surrounding.

  3. Amazingly interesting! I always had the impression that octopusses are extraordinary animals (in fact, every single specie is – apart from some humans, which are proved to be bellow any category…).
