Since james gunn and Peter Safran boarded DC Studios co-CEO, everything has changed. Henry Cavill has once again been forced out of his role as Superman, and Gunn is writing a new movie after The Last Son of Krypton. The new Superman movie will follow the character as he comes to Metropolis for the first time. Patty Jenkins also announced her exit from Wonder Woman 3 and the future of Gal Gal Gadot, as the character may or may not be in doubt. Batmanon the other hand, is a trickier situation due to Matt Reeves and Robert Pattinson The Batman franchise. Pattinson’s Batman is in a totally separate universe and is should stay that way, so the DC Universe needs a Batman. A fan seems to have an idea of who the DCU’s Batman should be and it’s a Supernatural Star. An artist recently posted new fan art that shows Jensen Ackles as a Dark Knight for the DCU.

An artist on Instagram who goes by the handle of @Bobby_art has created a new concept that imagines the Supernatural and The boys star as the Caped Crusader. In the fan art, Ackles gets a blue and gray jumpsuit with a gold accented bat symbol. There’s been no confirmation on whether Robert Pattinson’s Batman will appear in the main DCU, but Gunn hinted at his own version of the character. You can check out the fan art below!

“We are honored to be stewards of these DC characters we have loved since we were kids,” Gunn and Safran added in a joint statement. “We look forward to collaborating with the world’s most talented writers, directors and actors to create an integrated, multi-layered universe that still allows for the individual expression of the artists involved. Our commitment to Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Harley Quinn and the rest of DC’s stable of characters are matched only by our commitment to the wonder of human possibility that these characters represent. We’re thrilled to reinvigorate the theatrical experience across the globe by telling some of the greatest and the finest, and grandest stories ever told.”
