Latest Kerala Local News: Southern Air Command Hosts Media Orientation, IAF Audience
Thiruvananthapuram: An Indian Air Force (IAF) Media Orientation and Publicity Program was held at Southern Air Command (SAC) Headquarters here on Friday, according to an official statement.
Various media houses participated in the event.
Upon arrival at SAC, media personnel were led through a static display which included various technical equipment, an indigenous ALH (Dhruv) aircraft and an Induction Advertising Display Vehicle (IPEV).
Media personnel were greeted by Air Marshal SK Vidhate AVSM YSM VM, Senior Air Staff Officer Southern Air Command at Travancore Auditorium.
Videos relating to the history of the IAF, doctrinal aspects of aerospace power, the IAF’s role in Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) operations, and the IAF’s focus on Atmanirbharta were shown to media personnel.
An air show will be scheduled by Southern Air Command during Onam this year, SAC said. (ANI)
