Rep. Marjorie Taylor-Greene, R-Ga., sought Friday to quash a legal challenge that would bar her from running for another term in Congress, in a hearing in federal court.

Federal Judge Amy Totenberg heard arguments from lawyers for Greene, a first-term member of Congress from northwest Georgia, and for voters in her district who want to block her from running for a second term in office.

The lawsuit against Greene seeks to bar her from appearing on future ballots because it alleges she violated the Constitution by encouraging and “facilitating” the Jan. 6, 2021, assault on the U.S. Capitol by supporters of former President Trump.

  1. No matter. Even Georgia Republicans want her out so bad that they have redistricted her to include a large blue area of Cobb county. She won’t be reelected. That is by design.

  2. More power to all who want her gone. She has no business in Congress. One of the bad apples in the barrel!🤨
