Priyanka Chopra says she fell into a “deep, deep depression” after a botched nose job and thought her entertainment career was totally over.
Chopra made the revelations during an interview with Howard Stern on his Sirius XM show, detailing the dark period earlier in his life.
The actress, married to Nick Jonastold Stern that a doctor had recommended that he go under the knife to remove a polyp in his nasal cavity.
She followed the doctor’s instructions and had her nose done, but afterwards she says her face looked completely different, which sent her into a “deep, deep depression”.
Not only did the operation affect her physical appearance, but it had a negative impact on her work. Chopra says she was fired from three movies following the failed procedure, making her think her career was “over before it started”.

She says things got so bad that she didn’t even want to leave her house sometimes, but her late father – who was also a doctor – convinced her to have corrective surgery despite her reluctance.
Chopra said, “I was terrified of it, but he said to me, ‘I’ll be in the room with you. He held my hand and helped me regain my confidence.
She says she got her career back on track with the help of the Bollywood director Anil Sharma, and was grateful to him for giving her a supporting role in a film, even though she was originally set to play the lead role. Chopra went on to star in several major Hollywood television series, including Citadel and Quantico.
As for her marriage to Jonas, the two tied the knot in 2018 and had their first child via surrogate in January. They named their baby girl Malti Marie Chopra Jonas.
