Veteran actor-director Satish Kaushik, known for his immense contribution to the Indian film industry, died on Wednesday.

Actor Anupam Kher informed about Kaushik’s sudden disappearance on Thursday morning in a tweet in Hindi. Kher wrote, “I know that ‘death is the ultimate truth of this world!’ But I never thought in my dreams that I would write this thing about my best friend #SatishKaushik in my lifetime. Such a complete stop on a 45 year friendship!! Life will NEVER be the same without you SATISH! Oh Shanti!

Kher wasn’t the only one to offer his condolences on the actor’s death, as actors and politicians across the country paid their last respects to the deceased soul.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, Chairman of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) Sukhbir Singh Badal, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann were among others who presented their condolences on the death of the veteran actor.

“May God grant him a place in his divine feet and give strength to the family to bear this tremendous loss, Satish Kaushik will always be remembered for his unparalleled acting and direction,” CM Khatter wrote on Twitter while expressing his sorrow over the disappearance of the actor.

SAD Chairman Badal wrote in a tweet: “Shocked to hear of the passing of legendary Bollywood personality Mr #SatishKaushik. He was a wonderful actor, comedian, screenwriter, director and producer. My condolences to his loved ones during this difficult time. »

Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann also expressed his sorrow at the death of the actor: “The untimely passing of Satish Kaushik ji is very sad. Satish ji will always be alive in our hearts through your art…”

Reportedly, veteran actor-director Kaushik, 67, has died of cardiac arrest.

Satish Kaushik, belonged to Mahendragarh district in Haryana and was the chairman of Haryana Film Promotion Board.
