Since the launch of the OnePlus 11, OnePlus has spent most of the past two weeks teasing something new. What something new is a concept phone called the OnePlus 11 Concept that finally debuted with the launch of MWC 2023 this week.

OnePlus is no stranger to concept phones like this one with glass that could or could not be stained, or this one that could change color. It’s kind of like an annual technology celebration for OnePlus.

As for the OnePlus 11 concept, we’re looking at the idea of cooling the PC in the phone, which could help you get a couple extra frames per second while playing games, or speed up your charging a bit. It also looks very cool.

OnePlus says they want to bring industrial-grade PC cooling to a smartphone, which they might call Active CryoFlux. The system has a pair of pumps that move the icy cryogenic liquid over the phone to maintain cooling and dissipate heat. OnePlus believes that this system can bring temperatures down to 2.1℃, boosting frame rates by 3-4fps during gaming. When charging, this system also reduces heat, but apparently can only reduce the time of a charging session by 30-45 seconds. There’s a lot of demand here for potential, which is why they tried to patent it all.

When you’re not gaming or charging, most of us might find this system to look pretty cool. As you can see in the images here, the channels that carry the fluid are fading blue all over the back. Around the camera body, OnePlus added decorative lighting to sell the idea.

As a little bonus, OnePlus has also tried guilloche camera lenses to mimic the design of a luxury watch. It looks pretty cool too, though I’m not sure if that would be the reason anyone would buy the phone.
