When the price of the Pixel 7 Pro dropped $200 yesterday, we explained that similar discounts are unlikely for the regular Pixel 7 in the future, as the Pixel 7a is priced slightly lower. And then Amazon read our theory, laughed at the big retailer, and lowered the price, adding an extra bonus.
Today, you can buy the Pixel 7 on Amazon for $499, $100 off the $599 starting price. But apart from the discount, Amazon Also throwing in a $100 gift card. So you save $100 on the Pixel 7 and get another $100 to spend later on whatever you want. This is generally some kind of nonsense.
Is this the best deal on the Pixel 7? May be.
To get the 128GB Pixel 7 for $499 with a $100 gift card bonus, you’ll need to select the Snow (white) model. The Obsidian and Lemongrass versions are not on sale with the $100 discount, but they do include a gift card. The 256GB models don’t get the discount + gift card either – that’s just the 128GB Pixel 7 Snow.
I guess you like it, since the Snow model is probably the cleanest of them all. Don’t get me wrong, the Lemongrass Pixel 7 is beautiful, and the version I own, but the appeal of its bronze or golden frame lost me. The combination of the silver frame and white Snow backplate is my favorite at the moment.
By the way, the Pixel 7 is still a great buy. It remains my favorite of all the Pixel 7 phones due to its large size, great performance and top notch camera. It still has years after years of updates ahead of it, so buying one for $499 is a hell of a smart phone investment. Here is our review.
