Secret Invasion gave fans a first look what the Samuel L. Jackson series looks like in new images from Vanity Fair. Nick Fury is back in the Marvel fold and he carries the scars with him. Literally and figuratively, the character of Jackson Head towards Secret Invasion a bit older and unsure of next steps. These images show a version of the former Director of SHIELD who was visibly shaken by the events of Avengers: Endgame. If Thanos wiping out half the population wasn’t enough, there’s also the impending Skrull invasion to contend with. So old Nick Fury is going to have your hands full. Last year, Don Cheadle actually told Total Film that we were just not prepared for Secret Invasion. “[The MCU] It’s bananas! And it’s very expansive. And obviously now that anyone can appear in anyone’s story,” Cheadle told the outlet. “I mean, I’m in Secret Invasion, so I’m in Sam [Jackson]’s show. There’s a part of that, which kicks off what’s happening in Armor Wars.”

“It seems like SO fine,” Mariah Hill actress Cobie Smulders told reporters.I“and it’s a very different tone than what I’ve seen [in the MCU]. I mean, having Sam [Jackson] in anything, it’s just a thrill to watch, but I think it really defines his character in a really interesting way that I’ve always wanted to see.”
