Updated May 25, 2023 at 3:00 PM PT.: Apple has updated its US store with the addition of the M2 Pro Mac mini. We have updated this article accordingly.
Apple’s Certified Refurbished Store is a great place to get a practically new Mac, and the store has a Mac mini with an M2 chip in stock right now in the US and UK.
Apple released the M2 Mac mini in January and this is the first time it has appeared in the Refurbished Store. Several different models are available; here is a sample.

- The M2 Mac mini junior standard configuration with 8-core CPU, 10-core GPU, 8GB storage and 256GB SSD is $509/£549, $90/£100 less than brand new .
- The mid-range M2 Mac mini standard configuration with 8-core CPU, 10-core GPU, 8GB storage and 512GB SSD is $679/£719, $120/£130 less than completely new.
- Several other models with custom upgrades such as more memory, larger SSDs or 10GB Ethernet.

Visit a US Apple Certified Refurbished Store or a UK Apple Certified Refurbished Store to see all available M2 Mac mini models. However, be careful what you browse because Apple still sells the M1 and Intel Mac mini and the website doesn’t offer an easy way to filter the product list.
Apple has a strict process for products it sells in a refurbished store. The company repairs and replaces parts so that the devices are as good as new. As with new Apple products, refurbished devices come with a one-year warranty, 90 days of technical support, and a 14-day return policy, and are eligible for AppleCare coverage.
However, refurbished stock is limited, so if you can’t find what you’re looking for, check back later. Or you can check out our guide to the best places to buy a refurbished Mac. Also note that there are times when you shouldn’t invest in a refurbished Mac.
