Actress Lulu Wilson recently revealed how she felt about her deleted scenes from strange doctor – and she didn’t mince words.

Wilson recalled her frustration at learning that none of the elements she filmed as Stephen Strange’s sister, Donna, would appear in the 2016 Marvel Cinematic Universe blockbuster in an interview with ComicBook.com. “I am dead [in the movie] and it’s all because Donna Strange died and Doctor Strange said, ‘My sister is dead!'” she said. “Would have been good for me.” Although she is unhappy with how her experience on strange doctor ultimately failed, Wilson nevertheless confirmed that she would be eager to play Donna in doctor strange 3 if asked to do so.

Wilson is not the only one strange doctor neither is a cast member who remains open to an MCU return. In a recent interview, Rachel McAdams expressed her interest in portraying Stephen Strange’s ex-girlfriend Christine Palmer in a future project, insisting that the MCU’s near-endless storytelling possibilities mean anything is possible. “You never know what’s going to happen with the MCU, do you? It’s vast and endless, so — to be continued,” she said. McAdams previously reprized the role of Christine in the 2022 sequel Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and in an episode of the Disney+ animated anthology series What if…?.

The many characters cut from Doctor Strange 2

While Christine was part of the final cut of Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, several other characters were not so lucky. Original director Scott Derrickson originally developed a radically different version of the story for the follow-up film, which would have pitted the master of the mystical arts against against the demonic supervillain Nightmare. However, after Derrickson left the project in January 2020, his replacement Sam Raimi dumped Nightmare in favor of Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness‘ main antagonist, instead.

The character cuts didn’t stop there, however. Raimi also dropped several heroes and villains from his revamped production, including Thor’s half-brother, Balder. Behind-the-scenes footage featuring an unnamed performer as Balder has since surfaced online, although costume designer Graham Churchyard previously said the role was never officially cast. “We were sort of into this kind of design, gathering fabrics and ideas and waiting for an actor,” Churchyard said.
