LYRICS
They’re always charismatic
And they’ll turn up the charm

Their words do something magic
Saying no is really hard
They’re over generous you’ll never pay the bills
They’ll fall in love seconds die for you or probably kill

Ooooo
And after 6 months you’ll feel really stupid
Oooooo
I promise that it’s not your fault you fell for it

One little fight breaks into war
Feels like you’re dying on a bathroom floor

You’ll make an excuse they’ll say that it’s you
And the mirrors telling you it’s true

Won’t leave, can’t stay, how much are you gonna take
Cuz you’ll always get the blame

It feels like shit but that’s just how it is
When you love a narcissist
So if you’re feeling crazy I wouldn’t be surprised
The only thing they’re good at is knowing how to gaslight
Then make you feel like you’re the most beautiful in the world
While their sleeping with another girl

Ooooo
And after 6 months you’ll feel really stupid
Oooooo
I promise that it’s not your fault you fell for it

One little fight breaks into war
Feels like you’re dying on a bathroom floor

You’ll make an excuse they’ll say that it’s you
And the mirrors telling you it’s true

Wont leave, can’t stay, how much are you gonna take
Cuz you’ll always get the blame

It feels like shit but that’s just how it is
Oooooo
Oooooo
Cuz I felt like shit so I know how it is
When you love a narcissist

  1. this is entire comment section is filled with abelists who think anyone who hurt them is a narcissist. narcissistic abuse doesn't exist, it's just normal abuse, stop lumping ever person with npd (a literal mental disorder) into one category just because someone messed you up. its stigmatising, you're allowed to be hurt but you don't need to be abelist to get your point across.

  2. This is empowering and validating. Really appreciate this and your courage to speak about narcissist in a song. After 3 years of invalidation walking out of it I feel lost and in need of validation for all the horrible things and emotions I felt in the relationship. You'll touch many victim and survivors with this. We're never alone.

  3. “i promise that it’s not your fault”… wow, those words 🙁 i didn’t realise he was one of them, he was my first for so much, i was so innocent & naive & now i’m different, feels like i’ve turned into him, the whole being unavaible emotionally, seeing the worst in ppl etc. wish i never met him, i was so blind to it, he makes me sick & i feel so sorry for the next victim of his.

  4. And I know this feeling all to well, and the sad part is they only apologize when it's convenient for them they only apologize when you've had enough and you want to leave they promise they will change over and over again just so you don't. But the greatest part of it all is you finally see them for who they are And you've finally had enough and when you're done you're done and you finally have the strength to finally leave and not look back .And the worst part of loving them is even after you finally had enough, you still wonder what could have been. You have trust issues even in your new love, and they have to pick up the broken pieces, you'll have good days you'll have bad days. You'll wonder why you weren't good enough for them. But the truth is my dear, you were enough, you were more then enough it was that that wasn't good enough for you it was they who played you and made you fall in love with a person that never really existed but only for a while so that they could lower you in and make you fall in love. It's not your fault remember that you are more then enough and you deserve a love that's good and right and true you deserve a love that's real

  5. I love singers that write about their own experiences, it makes it feel more relatable and it connects to everyone differently. keep it up Lauren i love you so much
