Kochi: Kochi Metro has launched a new travel pass exclusively for students. The card named VIDYA 45 could be used for up to fifty trips in 45 days. Students could travel to any destination using this card.
The card could be purchased for Rs 495, which means a single trip would cost just under Rs 10. Meanwhile, students can purchase the card at any metro station by showing their ID cards issued by the respective institutions.
Those who study in the various coaching centers in the city, for competitions, can also benefit from the metro card. They must produce a commitment, with the photograph of the student, issued by their institute.
In addition, student cards valid for one day or up to one month are also available. VIDYA 1 can be purchased for Rs 50 and VIDYA 30 card costs Rs 900. Students can use these cards for unlimited trips.
