JE Technology Office: iQOO announced the iQOO Neo 8 and iQOO 11S series in the Chinese market a few weeks ago, and the company may be gearing up for another phone launch. According to reports, the company may soon launch iQOO Z8, which will succeed the iQOO Z7 5G. For the uninitiated, the ‘Z’ series is known for its performance-oriented mid-range handsets.

Digital Chat Station has leaked details about the upcoming phone. Here is all the information that the account revealed about the device.

iQOO Z8 specs (expectations)

According to the tipster, the phone might have an IPS LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the device will likely run on the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 processor. Although we don’t have details on the storage variants, the phone is expected to feature LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 internal storage, according to another tipster.

The performance-focused device could have a 5,000mAh battery that can support 120W fast charging. Note that these expectations are for the Chinese variant of the device. The tipster did not reveal any information about the iQOO Z8 launch date. However, we don’t expect the handset to launch in India anytime soon as its predecessor, the Z7 5G, debuted in the country in March this year. Also, the model had different specifications compared to the Chinese model of the Z7.

For a specification refresh, the Z7 5G features a 6.38-inch FHD+ 90Hz AMOLED display with 1300 nits of peak brightness. For performance, it gets a Dimensity 920 chipset. The smartphone runs on Android Funtouch OS 13. A 4500mAh battery supporting 44W charging sits inside the phone. As for the optics, it gets a 64MP primary and 2MP secondary lens with a 16MP front selfie sensor.

Speaking of official updates in India, the Chinese smartphone maker has unveiled the iQOO Neo 7 Pro in India in the sub-Rs 35,000 price range. It was launched as a gaming-focused phone with a chip independent game.
