Instagram, a popular photo-sharing platform, was once again down for users in different countries. Thousands of users in different countries have reported that they are having trouble opening the platform and viewing the feed and stories.

According to outage reporting website Downdetector, more than 52,000 users reported outages in the US, while reports in India were nearly 2,000 during the peak. The report suggests the outage began around 8:25 a.m. and peaked around 8:47 a.m.

Nearly 84% of the reports suggested that users were having trouble accessing the app, 10% said they were unable to access the website, and 6% were unable to view the stream.

Instagram down for the third time in a month:

It looks like something is wrong with Instagram’s server as it’s the third outage of the month. The first outage occurred on July 11 and affected all Meta-owned platforms, including Facebook and WhatsApp. After that, the photo-sharing platform experienced an outage on July 20 that affected users around the world. Now, this is the third time global users have been affected by the outage.

Instagram Down: Official Statement

Instagram, owned by Meta, has not shared any official statement on the outage as of this writing. Earlier, Instagram reported that the outage was due to a connectivity issue and impacted many users.

Meanwhile, Metas new social media platform Threads is losing its charm as reports suggest it lost nearly 75% of traffic within 15 days of its global debut. However, the company is introducing a slew of new features to build audience loyalty and has added following tabs and other utility features already available on Twitter.
