The fifth installment of the Indiana Jones saga received a standing ovation at the 76th Cannes Film Festival. After holding a prominent place in American cinema for four decades, the new film, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Fate, is sure to be a bittersweet farewell to the archeology professor. And if actor Harrison Ford displays an impressive 80 years in the last adventure, he has lost none of his charms. A reporter made sure to remind him of that fact in a recent interview.

Ford was taking questions alongside co-star Mads Mikkelsen and director James Mangold at the Cannes Film Festival when an anonymous reporter spoke out. “Look, I still think you’re very sexy,” she began, sending the room into peals of laughter. Ford remained silent, looking very surprised as the reporter continued. “We were amazed to see you take off your shirt in the second scene, and you still have it. How do you stay in shape? And can you ride a horse?

At first, Ford seemed a bit confused about what to say. But he eventually formed an answer to the horse’s question by saying, “Yes, I can ride – if they let me.” Mikkelson and Mangold exchanged pleasantries with the A-lister about how he keeps himself in shape. Ford finally delivered a measured, witty response. “Look, I’ve been blessed with this body,” he said, inspiring another round of laughter. “Thanks for noticing.” Whatever his secret, it seems everyone agrees that the actor is still turning heads at 80.

A Cannes Film Festival reporter asked 80-year-old Harrison Ford how he keeps in shape at his age.
