Earnings season is drawing to a close, and Google is the last to share its latest quarterly data. As someone who doesn’t pay much attention to how well the company is doing financially, I’m not here to tell you about their prospects, weird over-focus on AI or Google Cloud, but I have some Pixel related news. . share from today’s call.

At the end of the day, the survival and expansion of the Pixel lineup is important to us, because that’s what we spend a lot of time on and what you all care about so much. Talking about the billions of dollars that Google makes every quarter while still trying to justify blindly laying off 12,000 because their billions weren’t as big as the investor brothers wanted is beyond our purview.

So, on a Pixel-related note, Google held its Q4 2022 earnings report today, and CEO Sundar Pichai made some big announcements about his phones from last year. While he initially said that Google “will be more mindful of the Pixel lineup and our overall cost structure,” he followed this up by confirming that “Pixel 6a, 7 and 7 Pro are the best-selling generation of phones [Google] ever launched“and that they” got a share in every market [they] act this year.

This is all big news for Pixel fans. With recent layoffs at the company, a poor display of the Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, and Pixel 7 Pro could spell doom for the Pixel tablets, Pixel 8 phones, and foldables we hear about all the time. The fact that they want to tell us how well their new phones are selling is probably a sign that future Pixel devices are still on the way and will remain a key part of the company.

For those who missed previous similar reports, Google isn’t always happy with the hardware. In other words, they’re not just saying the Pixel 7 is selling well because they want to scam investors. They were pretty clear when the Pixel 3 failed. We’re also sure the Pixel 4 was a massive disaster that cost the camera guru’s company.
