This situation was sad and awful. But could of been easily avoidable if the lady would of done her job right. She legit was looking down multiple times, had one job keep eyes on road. And realized last second. Super unfortunate.
And the first impression was “this is going to be a set back for the whole industry” .. the narrative in this post was never the victim of the crash but how this crash reflects on Uber autonomous vehicles. I need a drink.

On a separate subject @wired, I like this type of post. Where you have multiple slides that are shorter than a whole numeric article, but give you enough information to get a general and informed idea of the subject. I hope to see more of those in the future, it makes it more appealing in my opinion.
It’s either a computer driving the car that kills or a human. A company to cover either driver is best. Which is harder to hack and force an accident tho?

There is zero need for a self driven car on public roads. They need to be legislated only legal on private grounds like a warehouse compound, large corporate campus etc.
