Dua Lipa walked the Cannes Film Festival red carpet with her boyfriend Romain Gavras on Friday, making their relationship much more public than ever. For their official debut, the pop star wore a silky black dress by Celine, which featured a floor-skimming floor-length skirt with a thigh-high slit. The bodice has been designed with asymmetrical straps, cutouts and a halter cut.

She had her hair up with long bangs framing her face. Dua Lipa wore silver earrings, bracelets, strappy heels and had a simple makeup palette with a smokey eye. The star smiled and laughed all night long with her French director boyfriend, and they kissed affectionately in front of the cameras. He wore a classic black tuxedo with a black tie.

The couple appeared at a screening of Omar La Fraise (The King of Algiers). Dua Lipa and Gavras were the first related in February, just over a year after Dua broke up with longtime boyfriend Anwar Hadid. Hadid is the brother of Dua Lipa’s close friends Gigi and Bella Hadid. In March, a source said The sun that she and Gavras had been “quietly getting to know each other for months”.
