The redesign inside the Walt disney Co. continues, after CEO returns Bob Iger less than a week ago. The next exec to leave is Arthur Bochner, Variety confirmed via a source close to the exec.

As first reported by Puck News, Bochner’s exit probably doesn’t come as much of a surprise, given that he had been behind much of the former Disney CEO. Bob Chapeck‘s as the leader’s speechwriter. Bochner had served as Chapek’s chief of staff until last August, and more recently moved to vice president of strategic communications as Chapek faced mounting controversies — including his response to the bill.” Don’t Say Gay” from Florida, which initially angered Disney employees.

More recently, Bochner was behind Chapek’s remarks on Disney’s third-quarter earnings call. It is believed that Chapek’s performance on that call and a follow-up memo to staff led to his ousting by Disney’s board.

Bochner is the second high-level Disney executive to leave after Iger returned to lead the company on Sunday. The next day, in a memo to Disney employees, Iger announced that Karim Danielchairman of Disney Media and Entertainment Distribution, would resign.

Iger also shared that the media giant’s restructuring would begin “in the coming weeks.”

Bochner, like Daniel, was seen as a key Chapek lieutenant, so the departures of both leaders were expected. Disney employees are still marveling at the surprise announcement, in a memo late Sunday night announcing that Iger would return to run the Mouse House, with CEO Chapek stepping down immediately after a tumultuous tenure of nearly three years.
