For fans of animated films, Iger has announced that two new sequels to massive franchises — “toy story” And “Frozen” – were in development. A sequel to the animated comedy “Zootopia” has also been announced.

The “Toy Story” franchise consists of four theatrical chapters and a spin-off: 2022’s “Lightyear.” Although the latter film underperformed, “Toy Story 3” and “Toy Story 4” both grossed over $1 billion at the worldwide box office.

Meanwhile, the first movie “Frozen” debuted in 2013 and was a smash hit, and the sequel “Frozen II” grossed over $1.4 billion at the global box office in 2019. Beyond movies, the franchise has also morphed into a Disney on Ice Show, a Broadway musical, numerous short films, TV specials, and books.

Iger also announced that Pandora would be coming to the West Coast via a ‘Avatar‘ Experience that will come to Disneyland in Anaheim.

Currently, Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Orlando offers “Pandora – The World of Avatar”, a space dedicated to the creations of James Cameron which includes two rides: “Avatar Flight of Passage” and “Na’vi River Journey”.

On February 5, “Avatar: Way of the Water,” the second “Avatar” movie, surpassed “Titanic” to become the third greatest international films in box office history. Cameron plans to release three more “Avatar” movies over the next few years.
