Jackie Chan announced at the Red Sea International Film Festival last December thatPeak hour 4″ is officially in development.

“We are talking about ‘Rush hour 4‘ right now,” the actor icon said, adding that he would be meeting with the film’s director later that night to work on the script. No official ‘Rush Hour 4’ details exist outside of Chan’s teasing, but consider her co-star chris tucker more than eager to get back into the franchise.

Tucker recently spoke at Audacy’s V-103 while making the rounds of the press for her role in Ben Affleck’s “Air”. He included “Rush Hour 4” on his list of upcoming projects.

“You’re going to see a lot of good things happen, but it’s going to be on a whole different level,” Tucker said. “That’s what I love…I’m excited about it. It’s not going to be what you normally see… “Rush Hour 4” is something I’m definitely going to add here because I love working with Jackie, but I have some new stuff that I think you’ll really like. I’m excited about this.

A potential fourth “Rush Hour” movie has been in talks for many years. Tucker said all the way back to 2018 that a “Rush Hour 4” was finally on the way, adding at the time: “It’s happening. It’s going to be the rush of all rushes. Jackie is ready and we want to do it so people will never forget her. The sequel did not take off then.

All three “Rush Hour” films were directed by Brett Ratner, who has been accused of sexual harassment and misconduct by multiple women in recent years. Warner Bros. severed all ties with Ratner. The “Rush Hour” trilogy was distributed by New Line, owned by Warner Bros.
