Avatar: The Way of Water may not have been universally acclaimed like its predecessor, but it still managed to hold its own favorable opinions when it launched last December. It would end up earning over $2 billion during its theatrical run, making it one of the highest-grossing films of all time. Now, pre-orders are finally open for the Way of Water Blu-ray, which is heading to home theaters on June 20.
Several different formats will be available, including one that will allow you to enjoy 3D effects from the comfort of your couch. Here’s a look at Avatar: The Way of Water pre-orders, as well as exclusive bonus content offered by select retailers.

Best Buy, Target, and Walmart are all offering unique bonuses with your Avatar: Way of Water pre-order. Luckily, the movie and everything else on the disc are the same no matter where you place your pre-order. Instead, it’s largely the case that looks different between retailers.
Walmart sells the film in a case wrapped in lenticular graphics, Best Buy offers a Steelbook, and Target sells it with a standard case as well as a limited-edition sticker for your water bottle, phone, or laptop. Whichever you choose, you’ll get the 4K Blu-ray version of the film, plus a standard Blu-ray, a digital copy, and an extra disc loaded with bonus features.
$30+
Aside from the three retailers listed above, snagging the 4K Blu-ray version of the film will still net you the same content. This includes a 4K and standard Blu-ray, a digital copy of The Way of Water, plus a bonus disc.
$34+
If you liked the 3D special effects at your local theater, consider picking up the 3D Blu-Ray version of Avatar: The Way of Water. These 3D effects aren’t available in the 4K edition, making it the only way to truly recreate the screen-hopping effects of the theatrical release. Pre-orders also come with a standard Blu-ray without 3D.
$34+
If you missed the original Avatar, a 4K Blu-ray format will also launch on June 20. It will be sold as a three-disc set that offers a 4K version, a standard version, and a disc full of additional content. You will also receive a digital copy with your purchase.
