Latest Technology News: Apple Vision Pro Development Kits Now Available
Apple today announced the release of Apple Vision Pro Development Kits, with developers eligible to apply to receive a kit today. Developers will receive an Apple Vision Pro “loan” that will allow them to develop and test applications.
In addition to a Vision Pro, developers will receive help with device setup and integration, check-ins with Apple experts for user interface design and development guidance, and help with app refinement. Each developer who receives a kit will receive two additional code-level support requests to resolve code issues.
Apple says the Apple Vision Pro headsets are Apple-owned development devices and will need to remain where shipped in a private, secure workspace accessible only by developers who have been approved to work with one. Apple plans to be in regular contact with developers using the kit, and the kit will need to be returned upon Apple’s request.
Developers can apply on the apple site. Apple will collect details about each team’s development skills and existing apps, with priority given to applicants building an app that takes advantage of visionOS features and capabilities.
