Addressing the opening ceremony of the Khanewal Model Agricultural Farm on Monday, Pakistan’s Army Chief of Staff said Pakistanis are a proud, zealous and talented nation. All Pakistanis should throw away the begging bowl.

Notably, Pakistan is expected to receive another loan from China. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif recently said Pakistan had received the renewal of an additional $600 million loan from its all-time ally China to help bolster the country’s foreign exchange reserves through an agreement with the IMF.

In July, Pakistani government debt ballooned to $2.44 billion, including $2.07 billion in unsecured debt to China, according to Geo News.

The army chief also said that Almighty Allah has blessed Pakistan with all blessings and no power in the world can stop the progress of the country.

General Munir said that a state is like a mother and the relationship between the people and the state is one of love and respect.

He said that security and the economy are linked and indispensable to each other.

COAS also said that the Pakistani army takes pride in serving its nation, adding that the army derives its strength from the people and vice versa.

General Munir has promised that the army will not rest until Pakistan emerges from the current crisis.

Speaking of the model farm, COAS claimed that the country would witness the agricultural revolution, Geo News reported.

He added that model farms will be established across the country in line with modern standards to benefit small-scale farmers and expand the reach of green initiatives.
