It’s been almost 3 weeks since Amanda Bynes has been admitted to a psychiatric hospital for the first time, and although her discharge date is still undetermined… those around her are already hatching a plan to make sure she stays on track.
Sources close to the actress tell us that Amanda and medical staff took her stay week after week. We’re told she doesn’t have to stay at the facility, but she doesn’t feel ready to leave just yet. When she is, however, she will enroll in an outpatient mental health treatment program.
Our sources say Amanda is no longer under conservatorship – which finished in 2022 after 9 years — she can make her own medical decisions.
Amanda has worked with medical staff to ensure she is supported upon discharge, and an outpatient program will keep her on track…meeting doctors and specialists.
While we’re told Amanda’s parents were by her side during the hospital stay isn’t true… our sources say her parents are still supporting her in every way they can.
TMZ broke the story – Bynes was found naked and wandering the streets of Los Angeles early in the morning last month. She flagged down a vehicle and called 911 to report she was having a psychotic episode and needed help. She was admitted to hospital under psychiatric supervision and stayed there Since.
While there’s no set date for her release, we’re told there’s hope she’ll be well enough to release next week…although nothing’s certain yet.
