Latest Technology News: After Realme C53, Realme plans to launch another smart budget

By Abhik Sengupta: Realme is likely planning to launch the Realme C51 4G in India soon after the Realme C53 launched in the country earlier this month. Realme’s C-series phones are generally aimed at budget-conscious customers. If the Relame C51 rumor is accurate, we can expect the phone to cost less than Rs 10,000 in India. Ahead of the official announcement, the specs of the phone were leaked. Realme is already selling Realme C55 and Realme C53 in India in the sub-Rs 15K category.
According to a tweet from tipster Paras Guglani, the Realme C51 will be a 4G phone and will not support 5G as the device is aimed at budget-conscious customers. The phone may feature a large 6.7-inch IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The screen may include a teardrop notch for the selfie camera and a moderately thick chin. It can be powered by Unisoc T612 chipset and a 5000mAh battery with 33W charging. The chipset can be paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, but there might be another variant with 128GB of storage.
The rear camera system may include a 50-megapixel primary camera paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens. The tipster notes that there will be another 5-megapixel camera on the rear, although we couldn’t spot a cutout for the third sensor. The phone is expected to ship with Realme UI T based on Android 13. The Realme C51 may come in two colors: mint green and carbon black.
The tipster also shared renders of the smartphone. The Realme C51 resembles the Realme C53 with a two-tone finish and a pyramid-style rear camera layout. The Realme logo is at the bottom. All the standard buttons, including the volume rockers and the power button, are on one side.
As mentioned, Realme is yet to share official launch details, though we can expect the launch next month as the company has just launched the Realme C53 in India.
Meanwhile, the Realme C53 which debuted recently has a 108MP camera. The phone costs less than Rs 11,000 in India. The base model comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and is priced at Rs 9,999. There is also a variant with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, priced at Rs 10,999. It is powered by the Unisoc T612 SoC and a 5,000mAh battery. On the software side, the Realme C53 runs on realme UI T Edition based on Android 13.
