The Kerala High Court on Monday adjourned the July 31 hearing on a motion filed by the survivor in the actor assault case seeking an independent investigation into the change in the hash value of the memory card seized and kept in the custody of the court in connection with the case.

Opposing the survivor’s plea, the attorney for actor Dileep, the eighth defendant in the case, argued that the petitioner’s attempt was to prolong the trial. The lawyer also pointed out that there was no change in the individual hash value of the eight video files contained in the memory card. The petitioner’s allegations were false. The hearing on the motion will continue on July 31.
